Current Summer Initiatives

Without Barriers is committed to empowering children in need from

underdeveloped communities.   

Our little classroom in the community of Nueva Esperanza serves a big purpose in the hearts of the children from the community. However, there is still much we can improve. Currently, there is no restroom available and children who attend our workshops must ask neighbors to use theirs. Thu-s, with the help of two workers, and efforts from the community, we are working on building an outhouse for these children.

Apart from this, we are running a new program called Dancing Without Barriers. We hired a dance instructor who goes to both our locations in Pamplona Alta and in Nueva Esperanza on a weekly basis for an hour and a half session. Each participant was provided a t-shirt, hand towel, and water bottle. This is making a huge impact in these communities as parents are unable to register their children in extracurricular activities and in Peru, children are currently off from school. This program is something that these children look forward to being a part of every week.
